I willingly left my corporate job some six or seven years ago and never went back ever since. I missed the friends that I made while I was there, but I always knew I made the right decision when I left that world.
I saw this broken chair while I was visiting the headquarter of a company, and I thought the greenish light from the fluorescent light above it and the total isolation of the broken office chair gave me a flashback of a world that I left behind.

Hi David. I love this image. I recently also made the decision to leave my corporate job and this photo also depicts exactly how I felt while there. I know there are people who can thrive in the corporate world but I am definitely not one of them. It was tough to accept this about myself and say goodbye to the pay and benefits in pursuit of something that nourishes my soul instead of draining it- especially in a time when people are so desperate for any type of work. I felt guilt and disappointment in myself for not being able to fit in, but now I am absolutely positive I made the right decision! Anyway, great photo as always!
