Graduation Night

I was so proud to see my little girl walked on the stage for her pre-K graduation. Listening to what the children wanted to be when they grew up was a real treat for me. A policeman, a teacher, and yes...a dragon, are among many things the children wanted to be when they grew up.

After the ceremony, the stage curtain provided the children with endless entertainment.

One of the reasons I always take photos is to help me to remember what I saw, and felt, for the time when I cannot remember any more.

I very much appreciate the soothing and calming effect this scenery had on my cluttered mind. Fortunately, I pass by this scenic area as part of the route every time I take my daughter to school.

Desk Job

I willingly left my corporate job some six or seven years ago and never went back ever since. I missed the friends that I made while I was there, but I always knew I made the right decision when I left that world.

I saw this broken chair while I was visiting the headquarter of a company, and I thought the greenish light from the fluorescent light above it and the total isolation of the broken office chair gave me a flashback of a world that I left behind.

Balloon

... , especially the one that floats, seems to have a magical power over little children.

My daughter thinks it is very funny that floating balloon no longer floats after only a couple days, it is the opposite of what I felt when I was her age when I saw my balloons were just barely hovering above the floor. Feeling devastated, I did whatever I could to revive my balloons, including pumping more air using bicycle pump.

Not much of a concert-goer

...but I went to see Pat Metheny concert last week. The guy is a genius!

The best description I told myself so I could understand him is that listening to his music, and watching him playing his guitars, is like watching a scientist in a lab coat having fun with beakers with green smokes billowing and singed hair. It made me wonder what's going on inside his head. Crazy stuff. In a good way, of course.

I am not sure why buildings, and doors and lines amuse me so much. What I do know is that I love this town, warts and all.

The title is the zip code from where, or near, the photos were taken.
Cheers,
